Rising Yoruba movie star, Hannah Adejoke
Olayinka, has said that education has turned her life around and also
impacted greatly on her acting career.
The young lady who came into the movie
industry in 2010 after bagging a Higher National Diploma certificate in
Business Administration from the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta,
Ogun State, told Saturday Beats that without first going to school, she wouldn’t have enjoyed the type of success she has had so far.
“As a JSS 3 student at the Isolo High
School, Lagos, I had told my mother that I wanted to become an actress.
Knowing that I always speak out of conviction, my mother did not argue
with me but she took me to Bolaji Amusan a.k.a. Mr. Latin.
“When we met Mr Latin in his office then
in Abeokuta, he said it was good that I knew what I wanted to do in
life but that I should first go to school and get some education.
“I heeded his advice and gained
admission to read Business Administration. Today, I am glad for making
that decision because education has continued to open doors for me,” she
said.
Olayinka, who has featured in movies such as Omolewa to Potch, Alaye Oko, and also played a major role in a new film, Folakemi Packaging, starring Odunlade Adekola, dreams of becoming a role model to youths across the country.
“I am enjoying every minute of my stay
in Nollywood and I hope and pray to be here for a long time to come.
There is no profession or industry without its challenges, there is also
no profession or industry without its stars. I am not looking at
challenges; I am focused at becoming a star.”
